Falling for a Client
All day at work Tara couldn’t stop thinking about Dorel. Sitting at her desk typing her notes about her clients that she had seen that afternoon, thoughts of Dorrel sent tingling sensations down her spine, leaving moisture in her panties. She crossed her legs and kept typing. The phone rang.
“Parole, Ms. Evans speaking?”
A deep sexy voice came across the phone, “I’m waiting Ms. Evans, don’t be late. Just be ready for what I’m going to put on you.” The caller then hung up.
That annoying Dorel! She thought. It was already hard for Tara to concentrate now she couldn’t get any work done. Shutting down her computer, she decided to leave the office early. She was going to put in some work on that big, brown love machine, Dorel. Just as she was about to leave the phone rang again.
“Hello, Ms. Evans speaking.”
“Hello, Ms. Evans.”
“Listen, I’m not going to keep you waiting any longer, I’m on my way.”
“You’re not keeping me waiting for anything.”
“Who is this?”
“Oh, you don’t know me anymore. You know I was almost your brother in law.”
“Oh, Rodney, I’m sorry. I thought you were someone else. How have you been?”
“I’m not doing as well as can be expected right now. You know tomorrow is the two year anniversary of her disappearance. I still miss Trina. In fact, I’m calling to say goodbye. Tomorrow, I’m leaving and I’ll send for my things later. I’m moving I can’t stay in that house any longer. It brings back too many memories.”
Trina had forgotten the date trying to erase all the tragic echoing thoughts out of her mind.
“I still think about her everyday, too. They still haven’t found anything. Have you heard of anything, or is there anything you can remember about that day she disappeared that you hadn’t thought of?”
“No Tara, I’ve wrecked my brain everyday trying to relive that day. I keep thinking if only, I hadn’t gone to that security convention in California, I could’ve been there for her. I asked her to go with me, but she said she wasn’t feeling well and wanted to stay here in New York to get some rest and feel better. I wanted to stay here and take care of her, but she wouldn’t let me. She told me to go because I had already paid for the trip, but I shouldn’t have listened to her. I should’ve been here with her. I don’t know what happened.”
“Don’t blame yourself. It’s not your fault. I blame myself too. I should’ve been there for her. She kept calling me telling me that something was going on in her life, but I had my phone off because I was out in the field that day doing my home visits to my clients, by the time I got to call her back it was about midnight but she never answered her phone after that, and I never heard from my sister again. How do you think that makes me feel? I feel like I let her down.
